Terms of Service
Last updated September 17, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Universal Health & Fitness, LLC. Section 4 covers cancellations and refunds, and Section 8 covers the terms that apply to therapists.
1. About these terms
Warm Working Hands is operated by Universal Health & Fitness, LLC, a Utah limited liability company. By creating an account, booking a session, or providing services through the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and book a session for yourself. Sessions for minors must be arranged directly with us and require a parent or legal guardian to consent and be present.
2. What we do, and what we do not do
We provide the premises, the treatment tables, and the booking platform. Massage therapy itself is provided by independent licensed massage therapists who rent treatment time from us. They are not our employees.
Each therapist is responsible for their own licensure, professional judgment, insurance, and the care they deliver. We verify that a therapist holds a current license before they may take bookings, but we do not direct or supervise clinical treatment.
Massage therapy is not medical care. It is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a physician. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury or surgery, please consult your doctor before booking, and tell your therapist before your session begins.
3. Booking and payment
- Sessions can be booked up to 28 days ahead and must be booked at least 60 minutes before they start.
- A deposit of 25% of the service price is charged when you book. This confirms the appointment and reserves the therapist's time.
- The remaining balance is charged after your session finishes. Your therapist will present a device at the end of your session showing the amount due, where you can add a tip, review the total, and sign to authorize the charge to the card you booked with. Your signature is kept as the record of that authorization.
- If the balance is not settled in the room, it is charged automatically 60 minutes after the session ends, with no tip added. This also applies if you do not attend a session you booked.
- Tips go entirely to your therapist. We take no commission on tips. A tip cannot exceed 100% of the service price.
- Every charge is receipted by email. If you were not at a session you were charged for, the receipt carries a link to tell us, and we will put the booking on hold and look into it.
- Prices are shown before you confirm. The price agreed at booking is the price charged, even if the therapist later changes their rates.
You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the deposit, the balance, any tip you add and sign for, and any fee properly owed under these terms. Your card is retained after the deposit for this purpose, and the balance may be charged without further authorization where a session is not settled in the room.
4. Cancellations, reschedules, and no-shows
- Cancel more than 48 hours before your session and your deposit is refunded, less payment processing fees that we cannot recover.
- Cancel within 48 hours of your session and your deposit is forfeited to the therapist, who has already paid for that treatment time and can no longer sell it.
- If you do not show up, the deposit is forfeited on the same basis.
- If your therapist cancels, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid, including the deposit and processing fees. We will help you rebook where we can.
- Reschedules are treated as a cancellation and a new booking, so the same 48-hour window applies.
Arriving late does not extend your session. The therapist's following appointment is already committed, so a late start means a shorter session at the full price.
5. Conduct during a session
You may end a session at any time, for any reason. Tell your therapist immediately if anything is uncomfortable, painful, or unwelcome, and they will stop or adjust.
This is a professional therapeutic practice. Any request for, or suggestion of, sexual contact will end the session immediately, will be charged in full, and will result in a permanent ban from the platform. Conduct of that kind may also be reported to law enforcement. The same standard applies to therapists: any breach ends their access to the platform immediately.
We may refuse or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe it is unsafe, abusive, fraudulent, or contrary to law.
6. Liability waiver
Before your first booking you are asked to accept a liability waiver. We record which version of that waiver you accepted and when. Massage carries some risk of soreness, bruising, or aggravation of an existing condition, and accepting the waiver confirms you understand that and have disclosed any relevant health conditions to your therapist.
7. Reviews
Reviews you submit may be published on this site and on our Google Business Profile. Please keep them honest and about the service. We may remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory, contain personal information about others, or are not genuine accounts of a session.
8. Terms for massage therapists
These additional terms apply if you provide services through the platform.
Independent contractor status
You are an independent contractor, not an employee. You control your own schedule, your own prices within the limits the platform sets, the services you offer, and how you deliver treatment. You are responsible for your own taxes, your own professional liability insurance, and maintaining your license in good standing.
Treatment time
You purchase blocks of treatment time at a location and may then accept bookings in that time. Treatment time is charged whether or not you fill it. If you can no longer use time you have bought, you may sell it back subject to the buy-back rates published at that location, which decrease as the date approaches.
ACH authorization
By connecting a bank account, you authorize us to make ACH debits against that account for amounts you owe for treatment time and any other charges properly due under these terms. This authorization remains in effect until you cancel it in writing with enough notice for us to act on it. You agree to keep a valid, verified bank account connected while you hold treatment time.
If a debit fails, we may retry it, withhold it from your earnings, and release treatment time you have not paid for.
Commission and payouts
- We take a commission of up to 30% of the service price. Your rate is fixed onto each booking when it is created, so a later change never re-prices work already done.
- We take no commission on tips.
- Earnings are paid out through Stripe once the client's payment has settled. Payout timing depends on Stripe and your bank.
- You must complete Stripe's identity verification before you can be paid. That process is Stripe's, and we cannot complete it for you.
Client relationships
Client contact details are provided to you for the purpose of delivering booked sessions. You may not use them for marketing unrelated services, sell them, or retain them after you stop working with us.
9. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The platform is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, our total liability to you arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where required by law. Amounts already owed remain payable, and bookings already completed remain subject to these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and material changes will be notified by email where we reasonably can. The terms in force when you make a booking govern that booking.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Utah, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can go to warmworkinghands@gmail.com or (801) 997-9694.
